Dont buy it, cheaters

September 19, 2012
I contacted USA office before I bought it and they assured to me that it works perfectly in a rocky volcanic area.

Every time we use it and pass over a small or big volcanic rock it starts to beep, our area is full of these rocks, and we know the treasures are hidden under them, when we remove the rock it stopps beeping, am I going to find rocks?

When I called them and explained this they said, there is nothing we can do to help u, sorry.

Fantastic right?

Don't buy the hype

January 03, 2012
This machine can be beat by the White's TDI. The minelab SD's are the choice. You can hotrod them and get equal performance.

Too pricey when considering performance. The guys in the field using them are usually selling them too.

ps I hate bs. Sales hype.

The goldfield standard

July 03, 2011
All you have to do is look at what the serious nugget shooters are using in the goldfields if Arizona and Western Australia. The Minelab GPX 5000 is the new standard. Serious hobby detectorists and professionals alike are using Minelabs. Pulse Induction detectors are necessary for punching through iron mineralization and this detector is the best to date. Expensive, yes. Effective, yes. Is it worth the cost? If you are wanting to find nuggets and your wallet allows, absolutely!

Looking at but not sure about.

January 16, 2011
I give this one a 4 star because I'm still not sure pulse or otherwise is best except for battery life.
I like the sensitivity and the way one can let it sweep for back ground or hot ground noise so as to auto block them.
Makes this detector the easy one to use and also find smaller and deeper gold.
Its the price thats hard and maybe the fact that it is so sensitive that another detector to near will mess with it.
I understand that even radio waves will affect this detector so they also need to be and are blocked.
If I am wrong here, let us know.
